Vintage 2 piece marcasite dress belt buckle

This is a beautiful 2 pc. interlocking dress / sash buckle that would be beautiful as an accessory to any dress or even as a sash buckle for a wedding gown! Marcasite buckle that almost looks like a pair of wings! Buckle measures 1 and 1/2 by 3 and 1/2 inches when connected. Though this type metal is often called "marcasite" it isn't actually marcasite, as it is too brittle to be used in any type of jewelry. This vintage piece is most likely pyrite.
