Other than musty magazine odor, this Californian April 1940's magazine is in excellent condition. Address label on front. Fabulous ads including Junior Miss, Cole, Adele, Pat Premo, Marjorie Montgomery, Peggy Hunt, Hawaiian perfume, Dorothy Phillips, Eleanor Green, Coro, and Viola Dimmitt. Articles inclued Spring is a Flower, Spring is A Color, Spring is a State of Mind, Pacific Blue, Summer Perennials, They Like Sun, Dressing by Design, and more. BUT, the most amazing article is the one titled "Signed by Adrian", an article about the 40s designer Gilbert Adrian with great illustrations! It's a wonderful article. Billy Gordon and Howard Greer featured gowns. 72 pages in the magazine and these Californian magazines are rare. I have several on the site from the same estate. Great for fashion collectors!
