Vintage Satin Mollie Parnis Wiggle Dress

Mollie Parnis New York vintage brilliant blue satin dress with draped waistline finished with a double flat bow. This dress has belt loops but no longer has the original belt. It has a 24” metal zipper and one faint yellow spot under the arm that I haven’t tried to remove. It is an absolutely sensational dress but is quite small so would best fit a very petite woman.

Though she started out at a saleswoman for a blouse manufacturer, Mollie Parnis developed dress standards in the garment industry that assured her place in fashion history. She was particularly known for her ability to create clothing that emphasized a woman’s shape and creating style without compromising classic good taste.

This 1950's dress is a collectible piece that shows her panache for whimsy within a classical framework.
