1950's silk dress from one of our favorite mid century designers, Clare Potter. She was a contemporary of Claire McCardell and Ceil Chapman, and though more written about for her sportswear, we find her cocktail dresses to be some of the most beautifully cut ever. This one is no exception, in mint condition with extraordinary pleating at the bustline and form fitting shape. From the estate of a woman who owned many pieces from important designers from the 50's.  Nice fabric belt and back metal zipper.
