Rare 1950s handpainted tissue organza Paris dress
Very unique vintage 1950s dress made from a tissue organza that almost feels like paper! Handpainted with metallic gold and pink Eiffel Towers and green trees on a background of Paris scenes. Back metal zipper, net lined bodice, and full skirt (shown with crinoline not included). We take pride in only selling clean garments in excellent condition, but you should know that I haven't attempted to clean this dress. It has some scattered spots that are really hard to see because the pattern is so busy, but we want to mention them. I was afraid to do anything to it because I've never had a dress made of fabric like this and price is adjusted accordingly. There are a few tiny pin pricks near the edge of the hem, which we found only with very close inspection, but otherwise, no structural damage. It's a wonderful dress and hopefully, someone will buy it who feels comfortable cleaning handpainted garments to bring it back to it's original splendor!
