1950s Harvey Berin vintage dress designed by Karen Stark

This is absolutely the most beautiful dress! Gorgeous vintage black 1950s designer dress from Harvey Berin designed by Karen Stark. This gorgeous rare designer dress is from the estate of Isabell Gerhart. I have put off selling it for years because it's one of those vintage dresses I like to visit in my studio every now and then - just to remember how well made beautiful dresses were in this era! 3 layers of fabric in the skirt; silk and taffeta. Elegant illusion bodice and the corset part of the bodice is cut beautifully low in the back. The sweetheart bustline has boning and chantilly lace over pink satin. There is a back metal zipper and the original flower is still there, though it should probably be replaced as it has "wilted" over the years. I found 1 very small "prick" in the shoulder of the dress that is barely visible. Otherwise, excellent condition. Very full skirt, (shown with one additional crinoline - not included).An extraordinarily gorgeous dress and I only wish my photography skills could honor it better!
