Exceptionally well designed 2 piece dress from Christian Dior. 1950's dress with red bow and detachable shawl collar. The dress is a beautiful example of Dior's 50's designs and is cut to fit a woman's shape perfectly. The dress does have issues though, and I will start with the lining. The lining is almost all deteriorated and bits of it remain but it should all be taken out and either worn without lining or replaced. There is some wear at the edge of the right sleeve. It is really just a 1/2 inch section that has some tearing. The name is on the belt, which is included with the dress as proof of it's designer origins, but is no longer wearable. The original tag in the dress itself was probably lost when the lining started to wear. I also don't know if the original color was meant to be the cream that it is now, or if the dress has yellowed some with age. It is uniformly the same color, so it could be either. Back metal zipper and 10" back slit. Really a sensational dress that could be worn or used as a study piece.
