WOW! This is a stunning black and red watercolor flame vintage 1960s? dress from Blanche Cassier New York Paris. Very well made with poof 3/4 length sleeves and fabulous ruffled "overskirt" with fitted skirt underneath! I can't find any information about the designer except for her date of birth and death. I also found an article in the New Yorker from the 1960s talking about one of her designs. I would love it if anyone out there has any information about her and would share it with me! This one is a bit puzzling in terms of the era as well, but she died at 82 in the early 1980s so I know it must be from earlier than the late 1960's. Regardless of the year it was created, it is gorgeous and in excellent condition!
