Vintage 1950's Plus size Town Travel red and white striped dress
I was thrilled to find this dress! So often, women write to me requesting larger size vintage dresses and I might be able to find a 38" bust dress if I'm lucky. But, this dress has a rare 44" bust (pinned on my mannequin to show fit). Purchased at the Waldorf Astoria in the 50's, this vintage dress bears the "Time Travel" label. The red and white striped portion of the dress is cotton and the bottom of the skirt is organza. Beautiful ivory lace appliques and a fab back bow with ribbons. There is a back metal zipper, a lined attached under skirt, and a double layer of organza. Pretty double straps! This is a great vintage 50's dress for the girl who loves mid century fashion! Excellent condition.
