Vintage 1930's Smock Pleated Pink floral embroidered Dress
This is one of several dresses we have in this hand embroidered, smock pleated style from the same estate. They were purchased in the 1930s and many were never worn. This one is in a pretty peachy pink and has butterfly sleeves and inset netting with floral embroidery in the bodice. The smock pleating is at the waist and shoulders and the dress is made from a semi sheer ultra fine cotton voile. As you can see, there is top stitching on the back of the bodice, where we found some loose or missing stitches, otherwise this dress is in excellent condition! We think it would be beautiful as a day dress, summer party dress, or bridesmaid dress!
