Vintage Collectible Dress from Claire McCardell

Cotton striped vintage dress from the late 40's or early 50s designed by Claire McCardell for Townley. The dress has 10 front buttons and fabric belt. Side 12" metal zipper and 2 12" deep side pockets. Absolutely mint condition. Very collectible dress from legendary designer Claire McCardell who is credited with creating some of the first sportswear lines for American Women. This dress is from the estate of someone who knew Claire McCardell and had several of her pieces. Collectible vintage clothing from designers like Claire McCardell is always a joy to find! It has been used in a major motion picture that will be coming out in 2010 and is back now and has been cleaned and is ready to wear!
