Black evening gown

Perfectly cut black dress that I believe is from the 1940s from the feel of the dress, but it could also be from the 1960s. I don't usually get that confused about eras, but this one stumps me! Back metal zipper and fully lined, it has a label as shown. Semi fish tale hemline and price reflects very minor powder residue under arms in lining only. Heavy Velveteen and beautiful silhouette!
