Made in Japan and purchased at Bergdorf Goodman
From a prominent estate from which we acquired some exceptionally beautiful vintage clothing, this wedding dress is a wonderful find! Designed in 1994 and purchased as a custom designed gown at Bergdorf Goodman. Designed by Yumi Katsura, who is one of the most highly regarded Japanese fashion designers. She has designed wedding gowns for many dignitaries and celebrities.
This sensational dress is lined in a taupe satin and completely covered in lace. The beautiful train can be tied into a "bustle" train for the reception with color coordinated ties underneath. Label reads Yumi Katsura Paris New York Tokyo. The Bergdorf Goodman label is numbered with client details and the date. There is a back zipper and we found no flaws!
Yumi Katsura gowns sell for 3,000 to 15,000 dollars and vintage Katsura gowns are almost impossible to find! This one is a beautiful example of her work and would be a dream wedding gown!
