1920s Heavily Beaded Silk Flapper dress
1920s amazing vintage formal dress with rhinestones and beads.
This is an exceptional vintage flapper dress from the 1920s. It is heavily beaded and lined with an orange underdress. Pleated orange panels add the perfect touch to the skirt of the dress and the bodice is cut with a deep V. The overdress is ivory but the hemline panels gradually become orange near the bottom. Oh how I wish it was flawless, but as the price reflects, it does have some issues to mention. The edges of this dress are trimmed in rhinestones and they have started to come undone and are missing near the shoulder area and in a few other places. There is an eraser head sized hole in one of the panels near the bottom. The dress would be over 1000 dollars if it were mint. The flaws can be repaired and would be worth doing because of the exceptional beading and design of the dress. This dress comes from the same estate as a couple of the other vintage 20s dresses we have on the site and they were all so beautiful, but this is one of our favorites.
