Vintage Edwardian
Purple Silk
Ladies Suit
The years between 1895-1914 were called La Belle Èpoque by the French, but that time period is also known as the Edwardian era, named for King Edward of England who succeeded Queen Victoria in 1901.
This is an exceptional formal ensemble from the estate of a prominent book publisher.
The purple fabric is sturdy and wearable with no visible flaws. The lining is shredding under arms and at neckline. The jacket has beautiful embroidery. Outstanding vintage outfit.
