Vintage Norman Norell designer coat

This gorgeous navy blue vintage designer coat came from one of our favorite estates. The original owner of this Norman Norell coat owned several Norell dresses as well as several important mid century designer pieces from Geoffrey Beene, Pauline Trigere, and Ceil Chapman. We have sold a few of the Norell dresses but still have a couple we haven't been able to part with yet!

This coat has no fabric content label but feels like a cashmere or cashmere wool blend. Soft and luxurious in a heavier weight and fully lined. The coat appears to have been barely worn and the only issues found are: Where the arm lining meets the body lining, there need to be a few stitches, and the coat is missing one of the front buttons as you can see in the photo. The buyer could replace it with a button from the cuff and then put simple navy buttons on the cuffs, or replace all of the buttons with a similar style. I have reduced the price to reflect those issues. Mandarin collar, front pockets, gentle gathers at the shoulders and cuffs, and beautiful pleating detail on the back! This is an outstanding vintage 1970s coat and it will keep you warm and make you feel fabulous at the same time!
